Free First Thursdays – Visit Seattle Museums and Art Galleries for FREE

Many Seattle museums and art galleries participate in the awesome Free First Thursday Program. On the first Thursday of every month admission is free and normally special programming such as tours and hands on activities are offered. Also a few parking garages provide free parking which makes getting downtown via car much more affordable. Check out the list of participating museums at http://www.freemuseumday.org/sea.html. Discounts in the Arts for Teens Through TeenTix

Founded in 2004, TeenTix is an awesome program designed to empower teenagers to be more involved and influential in the arts community in Seattle. Any teen between the ages of 13 and 19 can sign up (http://www.teentix.org/sign-up) to receive a free Teen Tix pass which they can then use to buy $5 day-of-show passes to almost any show or event at any one of TeenTix’s 54 partners!

Free Museum Passes through the Seattle Public Library

The Seattle Public Library has partnered with several Seattle museums to provide free museum passes to individuals and families. If you are a SPL member (it’s easy to become one and completely free) you can check out the passes at the library’s website at http://www.spl.org/library-collection/museum-pass. There are a limited number of passes for each museum each day so make sure to plan in advance.
