Many sites define identity as a list of specific characteristics and traits a person has. To me your identity is how you view yourself. It has to do with the characteristics and values you carry. It is shaped through the experiences you encounter.
I’ve been in many different social groups and extracurriculars, had various interests and styles, and experienced all sorts of feelings and moments in these first sixteen years of my life. I used to be very conscious of how others thought about me and what my reputation was. Continue reading
S: To be able to figure out my schedule for fall quarter. I have a hold of my course schedule for UW, i’ve never had a schedule like it before. The classes are 2-3 times a week, there’s scheduled seminars and there’s scheduled test dates throughout a 3 month period which is a quarter. I suppose what I need to do is try to familiarize myself with the schedule and visualize what it’s like to practice it.
One of my goals this year is to have really good grades in school and to pass all my classes and hopefully end with a 3.7 or higher GPA. I will achieve this goal by not slacking off in class and actually paying attention, not being on my phone and not talking to friends. I have a whole year to complete this and hopefully it stays like that for the other three years.
This week was all about the outdoors. Our classes were filled with information about hiking, camping, and much more. On Tuesday we started off by doing an activity with leaves, shells, and animal skulls. These objects were placed around a table and using a guide filled with hints we had to identify each type of leaf or animal. Through this activity I was able to learn about the different trees and animals surrounding our environment.
I’ve had a hard time putting together a blog post for the theme of S.M.A.R.T. goals and personal sustainability. I have a lot of dreams for my future. I want to become a better runner, get into UW, become fluent in Spanish, travel the world, make a difference, and so much more. I wasn’t sure how to write about any of these aspirations. While brainstorming for days about what to make this article focus on, I started thinking a lot about my most cherished memories and what in my life makes me happiest.
My SMART goals for APAP are to become more aware of environmental issues and create a scrapbook filled with pictures of all the memories we’ve shared. I would also like to share all the knowledge I’ve gained from the program with others.
My goal is to be a monster hunter. Yes, that’s my main goal. The reason why I want to be a monster hunter is because of my first time, hopefully not the last, witnessing a monster.
My goals, the next step after graduating high school have been set in my mind and heart ever since I started high school. I’ve decided I want to major in Deaf Studies, ASL, Education and theatre at Gallaudet University, (the only Deaf University in the world).
A couple of weeks ago I was at the mall with my mom and sister. We figured we’d go into Lush to goof around and smell things. What I wasn’t expecting when we walked in is that I would leave with a new job opportunity and SMART goal.
