The collage I created combines my many sources of inspiration and how they fit together.
I love street fashion as well as classical architecture and blending them together is how I see these ancient structures in a modern light. When I went to Italy, I was blown away by the history that the city holds, especially in the marble architecture. Knowing that many marble structures , such as statues, used to be painted with vibrant paints that have faded over the centuries, I portrayed them in neon colors as a take on how I imagine they would look as modern art.
The polaroid on the left shows my graduation, and the city in the upper left-hand corner is Los Angeles, where I will be attending college in the fall. Being in a big city surrounded by people gives me the energy to pursue engineering. Even though my senior year in high school and freshman year in college will not be a traditional experience, the support of my family and friends will get me through anything.
Lastly, the bottom is a scene from an online concert by BTS, one of my biggest inspirations. Their artistic concepts inspire me as an artist, and the genuineness of their personalities and lyrics inspire me as a person.
